In the 60s we had the rise of women’s liberation and around that time we decided we could drink the same amount of alcohol as men. And yeah, sure, physically we can. But our bodies are sooooo different and our hormones are being massively impacted by consuming alcohol the way we do.
Its impacting our weight/ fat stores (due to insulin levels being thrown off)
Our estrogen goes up which pulls us out of balance and impacts cycle, symptoms, and mental health.
More than four servings of alcohol a week - you increase risk of estrogen dominant cancers (eg. breast cancer) but over 30% - if you’re drinking double this then double that risk.
It not just impacting our weight, its impacting us on a cellular, a hormonal and a toxic level thats ripping apart our gut health.
As you move towards your next drink, why are you drinking? How much are you drinking? Could you switch it out for other things if it means moving away from things like;
And soooooo much more.
I’m not saying quit all together (I never will say I’m 100%) but ask the questions.
