“You LOOK like youre doing really well” - people say this to me all the time.
Even if you read every post, every comment, watched every story and every live video in perfect order. You would only have a tiny window into someone’s life.
So dont assume you know how someone is doing by looking at their social media.
Doing this can bring us down. Doing this has removed connection and any responsibility for our fellow humans OUT of our human behaviour.
We got lazy, we got sucked into the comfort zone. But your comfort zone is only the tip of the iceberg of this world and you wont be able to avoid it for much longer.
That doesn’t mean we have to be afraid or uncomfortable. Lets get more CONNECTED! Stop assuming we know whats what because perceptions from the comfort zone are almost always incorrect.
Before I go here’s 5 fun facts about me in 2020 that social media wouldn’t show:
- I’ve cried everyday for one reason or another (it’s not a bad thing)
- I’ve been close to homelessness twice (grateful)
- I’ve been trying to get an apartment and a car for months and keep getting rejected or missing out.
- I cannot visit my family
- i currently run my online business from the floor of my share house living room
And even that is only the very tip of the iceberg of my personal life experience. Remember that those you watch online are just humans. Doesn’t matter how pretty their life looks, they are working through challenges constantly too. Those who don’t share the negative all the time usually are of the understanding that what you focus on..... grows.
So let’s talk more? Let’s focus on what is working in our lives and watch as those good things get even better so that the bad doesn’t seem so bad anymore!
Side note: check on your friends who can’t travel to Bali this year ... they aren’t ok 🤣
